Niagara Fall =)

Finally free to upload my pics taken at Niagara Fall. Its my favourite place here in Canada. We went there on the 24th and 25th May. Its quite far (~ 4 hrs from Toronto) and so we signed up as a package with Travel Cuts agency.. its suppose to be for back packers or something like tat.. $89 per person for 2 days and 1 night stay at Hostel International.. its the 1st time tat i stayed at a backpacker's hostel..

Our bus and tour guide:

1st stop is Reif Estate winery at Niagara-on-the-lake, we tasted white wine, red wine and ice wine. I love the ice wine. Its a dessert wine and its sweet.. taste a little like honey. Very nice =)

The farm:

Me and Jiali toasting with the red wine:

Then we were brought to the town here for lunch at the lake.. very beautiful place but looks inconvenient.. The houses here are all very beautiful and big. We were having thoughts about migrating here.. haha

The cemetary is very clean and peaceful. We actually posed and take pictures at these cemetaries on the way to the lake.. haha.. and I heard the locals here actually have picnic or morning jog at the cemetary..
Finally reached the lake to have our packed lunch of a burger, white chocalate cookie, orange juice and fruits :

Jiali, Valerie and me =):

Super hungry:
With Shen Qian:

After the lunch, we went to Brock monument which remember this great guy who saved Canada from America.. The view here was great too..

There's tulips here are very beautiful too :

View of the Niagara River =) :
After visiting this memorial statue, we visited the whirlpool rapids. Cool.

I took a video of it :

Meichi, Valerie and me =) :

Finally, we visited the famous Niagara Fall =) Its my favourite attraction in Canada so far and the view is spectacular and fantastic. Niagara Fall is shared between Canada and United States, but the view from Canada side is the best! Luckily im viewing from the Canada side =) We took the Maid-of-the Mist boat ride too.. $13 per person.. I love it =)

One view of the Niagara Fall =) :

There were many white birds here..
The white thing is not cloud.. Its called the Bride's veil.. When it gets larger and larger, it feels like raining.. It formed from the impact of the water fall i think..

This is the American Fall:

The Maid of the Mist =) :

Finally, we get to enjoy the maid of the mist boat ride ourselves =)

pose before we get wet.. haha :

We have to wear this free poncho to prevent us from getting wet from the waterfall and the mist.. The bridge behind me link Canada and the States.. This is called the Rainbow Bridge..

Me and Jiali in the poncho.. i still keep the poncho =) :

Jiali super scared of getting wet, so well... she don't mind the blue world :

The spectacular views from the boat:

Our boat on its way near the mist (Bride's veil):

The bride's veil from the boat.. Behind this mist is the horseshoe Fall.. Its my favourite part of the Niagara Fall.. However its hard to take a pic of the horseshoe fall cos it keep on 'spraying' water.. Even the mist I took it wif the risk of my camera getting wet.. You will have to be there to experience its massiveness and impact.. I don mind going there again one day =) :

After the fantastic view of the Niagara Fall, we went to Clifton Hill for its interesting shops and museums.. Its a cool place tat looks like amusement park.. We jus shop around here.. walk walk see see and took lots of pictures =)

Then we get back to our hostel.. Its quite run down and small (cosy?).. The room is tiny with 2 bunk beds.. and the toilet is shared wif dunno how many ppl.. the toilet is co-ed.. but its all young ppl that stayed here and of a variety of nationalities =) At the basement, there's also a common living room tat is actually very cosy with lots of video and a TV.. There are also many boardgames and a pool table.. The ceiling creeked as ppl on top walked across the floor board..
Our beds:

A little shock at the size of the bed and room actually.. Notice how Valerie has to hunch in order not to knock the upper bunk bed.. we were scared the bed will collapse when we sleep.. haha.. but well.. budget mah.. :

There's fireworks at Niagara Fall on Friday to Sunday nights.. so we were lucky tat we went on the Friday and Saturday.. At night, there are many different colour lights on the Fall.. very beautiful.. The fireworks make the whole scene even more beautiful.. But it was super super cold tat night.. we braced the cold weather and wind to watch the firework display.. After tat, we took a cab back to our hostel which is actually very very far away from the Fall.. The taxi driver was quite scary at first.. He wanted to bring us to somewhere else and said wanted to treat us Chicken wings.. We insisted on gg back to our hostel so he hit the steering wheel and shouted "damn".. scary.. He even tot we are Japanese.. diao.. anyway we get back to our hostel safe and sound and its $8 for the ride.. Its quite worth it as its almost the same price wif the bus for 4 ppl..

Video clip of the firework =) :

The next day, after a hearty breakfast at Dad's Diner, the plan was to ride bicycle to the factory outlets at Niagara.. But all the bikes in the hostel were rented out.. so the few us took the bus there.. We were hopeful tat we will find lots of bargain at the outlets because seniors who went there last year bought a lot of branded stuffs at cheap price.. However, when we went there, its not as cheap as wat we were told.. Those tat we like are not on sale.. but i did get some accessories from Guess.. However, the stuffs there are indeed slightly cheaper than normal retail price.. I think i shall do my shopping at New York ba.. The tax is lower there =)

We leave for Toronto at 4 pm and mugging for the test began.
