Intro

Whoa! Its gg to be a week in canada. The weather here is super cold. The wind seem to pass thru my jeans, resulting in cold rash.. super itchy.. the day here is long too.. the sun is up at 5+ am and the sky only gets dark at 8+ pm.. so i wake up very very much earlier than wat i normally would in s'pore.. haha

Here's Jiali and my room at New College residence at 45 Willcocks street:

The ppl here are really friendly and diverse.. all sorts of colour and languages.. so interesting.. As for lessons, well, the students here are definitely much much more spontaneous than back in NUS. There will be many students raising their hands or some jus simply shout out their answers or comments to the lecturer's question. and who say s'porean students are more hardwoking.. the students here also rush down during break to ask the lecturer questions and they really did their readings.. ok, im guilty now.. haha.. Also, im not gg to complain tat the textbooks in s'pore is ex le.. cos Its MUCH MUCH more ex here.. A TB here average CAD$100 lo.. As if it is printed in GOLD ink -_-

Oh ya, i must say sth abt the flowers here. They are all so so so beautiful! There are dandalions and tulips almost everywhere.. Red, orange, pink, black.. The flower shops are all brimming with all sorts of colourful flowers.. I love it! =) I feel like buying the seeds back to s'pore, but well, the weather back home won't approve rite?

The buildings here are all so beautiful too! Very English feeling.. I love those houses at Little Italy on the way to Wal-mart.. Vey homely and the flowers they planted are so beautiful! Took quite a few pictures here.. The buildings here at UOT also very nice and homely.. Very Victorian and English. Even the funeral parlour here also very beautiful.. im not joking.. The people here must be thinking im crazy to take photos of the funeral parlour..

The houses here.. i wish i live in these houses:

Friday we visited Wal-mart at Dufferin mall.. Walked quite a distance then we took the electric tram back.. very ex.. Cad$2.25 per trip.. sian... i miss using my ez-link card.. haha.. Wal-mart is huge.. everything under 1 roof.. we bought some groceries(e usual activity this week) and i bought my moisturizer.. At the mall, the shoping was great. Sale at some shops so we, being girls, bought some clothes as well.. I bought a pink top =) So far, we have only been to Kensington Market and Chinatown.. Not bad.. But weather too cold the 1st few days for me to enjoy much..

Some shops at Kengsington Market:
